LOK DEEP was established in 1992 as the podium of like-minded people who believe in the philosophy of “Helping People to Help Themselves”. The idea of forming such a society came to the minds of a group of social activists along with Mr. Pradip Kumar Singh, a voluntary philanthropist, and Honorable Padmashri Bhagvat Murmu. In 1990, Mr. Pradip started the process of social transformation along with his like-minded activist friends in the most underdeveloped area of Santhal Pargana area in Jharkhand state LOK DEEP means “Lightning the People”. Since its inception, LOK DEEP has been instrumental in making people aware of a positive policy adoption by the state.
